"In a letter dated August 8, 1986, Mr. Akers said, 'I, Jesse James Akers, Sr. do give this 141 yea rold horse drawn hearse to the Longhorn Museum in honor and memory of my younger brother, Roy Akers.'
'This hearse was bought in Lake Charles, about 141 years ago and was used yb Roy in the Battle of Flowers parade several years as an advertisement for the Akers Funeral Home in San Antonio.'
