The seven story high building contains six pump/turbine units with generating capacity equal to power of 600 heavy diesel locomotives.
The six pipes connecting the powerhouse with the reservoir are 1,300 feet long and 28 feet in diameter. Together they carry up to 33,000,000 gallons of water per minute
