Sydney R. Marovitz, one of Chicago's most popular and beloved citizens, spent his life trying to help others. he served with distinction from 1974 through 1986 as a member of the Chicago Park District board appointed by Mayor Richard J. Daley. He will be remembered by his may 'pals' and by those he touched with gentle grace and a kind embrace he truly considered it a privilege to serve the city he loved so much.
