As the plant effluent passes through the Parshall Flume, the depth of the flow is measured with a float. The depth varies with the flow rate and as the float moves a proportional signal is sent by the transmitter to a receiver mounted in the flow-indicating panel in the main control building. The receiver concerts the signal for use by the totalizer, indicator, and recorded. The treated final effluent passes through the Parshall Flume and discharges into the Fox River. A 24" outfall pipe extends 200' from the southeast shoreline.
